Stop Ruining Your Days, Start Tracking Your Sleep

If you tend to feel drowsy, forgetful, stressed, unmotivated or unproductive in your everyday life, chances are that you are not getting enough sleep. Worse than that, if you tend to easily fall ill, or feel a loss of alertness while driving or working, there’s a high probability that you could blame your sleep pattern. Actually, I’d be willing to bet that most people working fixed-hour, office jobs tend not to get enough sleep and, if you don’t feel the symptoms I’ve highlighted, it’s probably because you don’t know what the alternative feels like.
And the insidious thing is that you might not even be aware of your lack of sleep. For all you know, you sleep the recommended 7–8 hours a night. At least that was my case.

1. The Dangers of a Lack of Sleep

If you don’t sleep enough, you’ll feel sleepy, less alert, and have a harder time focusing on your tasks the next day. Everybody knows that.
